Sally Anne delights in painting still life with familiar objects framed within windows and interiors, and distinctive landscapes depicting the tranquillity and beauty of the sea and the small coastal harbours, inlets and creeks of Norfolk Suffolk and Cornwall. Her imaginative eye for colour leads her to employ a warm, rich palette, and she uses numerous painting techniques to develop a variety of surface textures. Her strong instinct for innovative design and composition invites the viewer to take a second look at scenes and objects that seem at first to be ordinary and familiar, but under her expert hand become both intriguing and engaging.

Sally Anne studied ceramics at Bristol Art School gaining a First Class Honours Degree, then went on to teach art and ceramics at Latymer Boys School in London. After a textile design course at Chelsea School of Art, Sally set up and ran her own textile design studio in London, and her creations have been selling worldwide for nearly 10 years to clients such as Ralph Lauren in New York and Liberty of London.

She now lives with her family on the north Norfolk coast, spending as much time as possible walking and ‘messing about in boats’, exploring the local North Norfolk creeks and Islands. She has been showing her work nationally to increasing acclaim, and has numerous paintings in private collections in the UK and abroad.
